1942 Slept Late. washed car looked for Bud. went by Homers. He was home went over to Bill Bairds went to bed early

1943 Went into S. Maria to get Gas book & didn’t get it yet. Saw Marie boys go out Day lights Tomorrow tearing out rig.

1944 No entry

1945 We rented the apartment & what a sm one but has 2 Bedroom & Marie can stay home Went to Logans. Josephine has moved home

1945 entry: The good news about the two bedroom apartment is that Marie (my mother) can stay home. I wonder where she has been living all this time?

1942 Aubrey slept till Noon I went Down to Bank & store got letter from Ma I got Mrs H groceries for her & went to show

1943 Sunday Boys slept till 3. Marie here & its Rained all Day word came through to quit the well so we will be moving ???

1945 I finished ironing cleaned our trailer moved fruit jars took Marie & we went To See about an apartment

1943 Boys worked & will go out morning Tour tonight Marie came today & its raining again Went To Bank  Did shopping this Morn.

1945 I ironed some Marie came by took her home & got mail. Dad worked days

1942 Dad slept. I walked Down town. No Mail. We took Mrs Harris & went to Edd Jones last night. He started to school at Burbank

1943 Boys gone to work rained lst Night its rained every Day for a week Today was pay Day. My Nose is much better now.

1945 Mon. I washed Dad worked. Marie & Ray came by going To LA after Julie & Rays friend. We are going to show

1943 I ironed Boys worked we went to S. Maria & got income Tax paid quarter 113.22 all was 452.90 – Gosh – $12.56 state Tax

1945 Sunday. Dad worked Days Marie Didn’t come by we went after Mail & came home & went To Bed

1942 Washed today Dad worked last Night & slept Today No Mail. Saw Mrs Harris They May Move

1943 I didn’t iron I Didnt feel so good Dad & Bud worked I finished Table cloth & layed around Most of Day

1945 Dad went out evening tour. marie came by & went on in. I am alone played sol & crochet

Grama spent the evening crocheting just as I remember her spending many evenings as I was growing up.

1942 Dad sleeping I walked Down to P.O. & Back got letter from Lydia. Mrs Harris is up at S.F.

1943 I washed Dad worked Days Bud went To Santa Monica Not Much News. Marie & Mable came over & we had chicken Dinner.

1945 Went into Town after Dad came in he worked Days today – Got letter from Bob. He is at March field.

I’m assuming that the Lydia mentioned in 1942 is her sister Lydia and the Bob she mentions in 1945 is her son, Robert Aubrey Tennant Jr. She usually refers to him as Bud but I don’t know of another Bob that would be writing them.

1942 Today is Sunday we slept late went by Eddies & Brown – Daddy went to work at Midnight I went to Bed.

1943 Monday & I still feel terrible but Nose broke a little It Bleeds so much. Bud got letter from S. Monica & May go Down tomorrow.

1945 Got letter from Erma & went into Town & Sent her $50.00. Daddy worked evening Tour & Marie came by. I am writing letters

1942 Got to Santa Maria in Time to take Marie to work at 8 Oclock. got tires fixed Birth Certificate Income tax & got home about 8.30

1943 I thought Marie Might come Ive been sick with Boil in my Nose all Day. Boys worked Days. Last Day of Month.
