1942 entry: Edgar Thomas Harder, born 11 June 1919 in Oklahoma, was the son of Grama and Grampa’s good friends, Leonard and Nona Harder. They were such good friends that we called them Aunt Nona and Uncle Leonard. I didn’t know they weren’t blood family until years later. This must have been a blow to the whole family. He actually died on Christmas Day. He must have been in the military overseas for them to get word so late.His enlistment records were interesting. He enlisted on 8 November 1941. He enlisted at March Field, Riverside California. He listed his occupation as Actor. He was single and was 6’1”, 159 lbs.
