1942 Sunday Dutch worked days I wrote letters. Tomorrow is his last Day light. Marie Didn’t come home today

1943 We went up to see Marie Today leg was swollen can’t go Home till cast is on. Went up & was at Sister Hospital all evening.

1944 Dad didnt come home I went up got My hair fixed called a Taxi. Dutch set casing got home at 2.30 Marie came by

1946 No entry

1943 entry: Sisters Hospital is the nickname of Our Lady of Perpetual Help located in Santa Maria, California. It was the only hospital in Santa Maria at that time, that I know of.
